Me, Art and Design
I have always loved art. I was awful at academics growing up especially with math/science. I was put in a lot of special ed classes because of that lol. However, I always got high grades in art. My strength in art has always been drawing. Also, I started digital painting in 2010 and I haven't stopped.

I attended an art college for a little while then switched to a regular school. It wasn't realistic to think I could make enough money as an artist. I did however feel challenged for the first time as an art student. I ended up studying graphic design in university which was great. It introduced me to the Adobe Creative Suite. I graduated with a degree in Communications majoring in Electronic Publishing (graphic design). I'm currently working as a graphic designer but I still draw and digital paint as a hobby.

Art Tips
Also, I get a bunch of questions regarding art tips. The most important thing for an artist is to practice, practice and practice. Here are a few tips for those interested in digital painting/drawing. If you are going for a look similar to my work I recommend using soft brushes and using a low opacity (5-50% range for a lot of the piece). I also recommend using the smudge tool a lot. It really helps with giving your piece a smooth look and it's awesome for hair/eyebrows/eyelashes/fur. I get a number of questions about painting hair. For creating hair just paint some general tonal values first without any individual strands then create the individual hairs with the smudge tool. The tools I use in Photoshop for all my pieces are the soft round brush and the smudge tool.

Thanks for all the feedback, faves, watches, and llamas!!
